Each Fall, the Theatre Department puts on a production in October. Students can get involved in every aspect of the production, including major and minor acting roles, stage management, performance tech, production, and direction. Each production includes a film aspect that allows students opportunities in front of, and behind the camera.
Actors go through a two-step audition process: an initial audition, and call backs for specific roles. Students interested in tech, production, and direction positions go through an interview process.

Students can get involved in every aspect of the production, including major and minor acting/singing roles, stage management, performance tech, production, and direction. Each production includes a film aspect that allows students opportunities in front of, and behind the camera. The musical is a great opportunity for actors to improve music skills, and for musicians to improve acting/staging skills.

At the end of each semester, MC students on their own version of the classic skit based comedy who SNL. MC Live is written, directed, produced and performed by MC students. These shows are always very popular, so get your tickets early.
Each fall and spring, the Music II and III classes take to the stage over a three night concert series. The concerts feature performances from Contemporary Music I & II, Jazz & Chamber Ensembles, and Music Production II. Each concert series has a theme, which is chosen by the students.
There are extracurricular opportunities for students interested in teching a live music concert, including stage management, light board design, and live sound management.
Drama Showcase – The advanced acting classes culminate the school year in Acting II & III with a live production. Students are in charge of each aspect of the production, from choosing the script and assigning roles, to stage and lighting design, to, of course, acting.
Music Showcases – At the end of each semester, the music department facilitates an open program for the students to perform songs of their own choosing, in groups of their own choosing. Students get to experience performing in a professional setting, using the preparation skills they have learned over each semester.
Stage Band Club – This club is a rotating collection of musicians who perform for the MC Live productions, the fashion show, the Spring Musical, and other extracurricular music performance opportunities.
Music with a Mission – Students in this volunteer service club take their music talents into the community. During meetings, groups learn songs in preparation to perform for senior communities, etc.
Performance Tech Club – In this club students learn the skills to become a knowledgable off stage member of a theater or music production. Skill areas include lighting, live sound, stage management, set building and design, film. Training includes learning how to use the basic tools of each trade.
Black Box Theatre– This club is perfect for the student who is interested in performing on stage, but has a busy extracurricular schedule outside of the regular school day. Members prepare smaller productions during club meeting to be performed one evening during the semester.
There are myriad opportunities to lift your voice or instrument in praise of God. Campus Ministry organizes class retreats, all-school masses, and holy hours, all of which incorporate the skill of MC musicians in the fabric of the community.
